Music Lesson Payments___________________________
Parents can elect to make lesson payments at each lesson or they can pay monthly with payment due in advance, at the beginning of each month. Please keep your payments current for each month. Simplifying payments into just these 2 plans enables me to spend less time on bookkeeping and more time on planning lessons. Payments may be by cash or check. Payments may also be made through Zelle. Be sure to connect your payment to my gmail account (NOT my phone number) and please notate the date you are covering with each payment.
Music Lesson Cancellations_________________________
Please text or email me if you must cancel a lesson for ANY reason. Please do not expect me to answer emails or text messages during student teaching hours.
No shows and cancellations will still be charged unless I receive at least 24 hours notice. I cannot do make-up lessons for no-shows. Lessons cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson may be made up if there are times available. Exceptions may be made for emergencies. I will not be able to hold time slots open for students who do not attend lessons on a regular basis. Please remember that too many lesson cancellations may result in poor progress. Improvement greatly depends on consistent piano instruction and practice.
Piano lessons will be scheduled Monday - Friday : 2pm - 7pm. Saturday lessons may be available from 9am - 1pm. If these days and times will not work for you, we can discuss different time options.

Practice Expectations_____________________________
Students are required to practice at home between lessons. Without practice it is impossible for a student to continually improve at the piano. Students may elect to fill in a practice chart for each month. Using this chart will encourage the child to set practice goals and better understand the value of consistent practice. Please encourage your student to fill in this chart at each practice session.
The amount of time and interest you show in your child's music lessons will be reflected in his/her progress.
To help your child grow:
1. Establish and maintain a regular practice routine for your child in a quiet environment, free from other distractions.
2. Take time during the week to have your child perform for you. Praise and encouragement from parents is vitally important to the student's progress and commitment to their lessons.
3. Have your child teach you! Concepts such a proper hand position, posture, rhythms, or the location of notes are best reinforced by teaching.
